ok, so I have finally gotten around to posting a new post, sorry for the long time span between the two...
A-FaM will soon be adding new products to our long list!
We will be adding in new cream eyeshadows, pressed eyeshadows, pressed powders, and lip glosses as well as flavored ones!
We can't wait to unveil them!

Yay!
Ok! So the new containers came in! And Today the new shipment of supplies should be here! Exciting! Especially since The bronzers are coming in and so many of A-FaM's friends and customers are HUGE on bronzer! We can't wait to formulate this stuff!!! Wonderful! In addition to the bronzer, new colors will be posted soon, and Yesterday a friend stopped by and picked up some eyeshadows from my own personal collection, and we created a custom Eyeshadow for her! She loved it! We are naming it after her (Jess) so whenever she wants more, we know which one it was haha.
Also the new website is being designed by the A-FaM family, which is awesome because we are getting it exactly how we want it! In our own staple colors, I can't wait to get it up and running, I have personally seen the previews of the website and I love the colors, as normal it is our tradmark hot pink and black!
So many new things! So far things are looking good for 2010!~

Early Start to the day
So it is 5:45 am, we have just finished ordering more supplies so that A-FaM will have new products! Excited! I am formulating colors and textures in my head, as I already have so many foilers in the A-FaM collection I think we need to change it up a bit for the Matte people out there... but come on, A-FaM's foilers are so much fun!!! I will have to post a video showing people how intense they are as a foiler vs. not foiling the same color! THE DIFFERENCE IS HUGE

Random!
Goodness!
There are so many more eyeshadows that aren't even posted! and we still have so many more to create it isn't even funny! We have already had to order more packaging supplies for the new eyeshadows, it is as if they are flying out of our (e-commerce) door haha. Love it! and the really good thing is that 10 % of every order is being donated to whatever organization that people choose.
Breast Cancer, ASPCA, Parkinsons Disease research, It is an incredible thing to be able to give back! and every order is helping someone, just another good thing A-FaM is doing! Everyone Wins, people get whatever they want, 10% of all orders go to a good cause, and the A-FaM family stays in Business! It's a great thing!

The Though Occurred to us..
there have been so many people asking "What are Foils?" We will be creating a video on Foilers and what they do and how to create that stunning look on your eyes! but until then we will try to explain it in Text form.
FOILERS!- Any of A-FaM's Glimmery Eyeshadows can be used as a foiler, now when we speak of foilers think of aluminium foil.. how shiny it is, the reflections it creates. This holds true with our glimmer eyeshadows!
Now, here is where you decide how you want to create the look...
A-FaM has a mixing medium which hydrates your eyes all day long! We have specially formulated it to make sure it is safe, and actually serves more than the foiling purpose! Now, some people use regular tap water, which we don't recommend this! and here is why, our eyeshadows don't have harsh chemicals in it, (unlike commercial brands) our eyeshadows last for up to 5 years! but adding water to your brush when creating a foil presents the harsh reality that you are introducing bacteria into the mix, not to mention, you are introducing bacteria onto your eyes! MAJOR HAZARD! So, it is our responsibility to inform you to not do this! So, once again we only recommend using our mixing medium, now with that said, lets continue!
get your glimmer eyeshadow, whether it be loose power form, pressed powder form or whatever.
Get the mixing medium, shake it well, to get the ingredients to mix up in the bottle.
pour a little bit on your brush (saturate it!) a little bit goes a long way!
Get your eyeshadow of choice, if it is a loose powder, which this works the best, sprinkle a little bit in the lid, get your brush and mix it up, you will see the dust liquefy a bit then apply it like a normal eyeshadow! and you can see the difference between regular glimmer eyeshadows compared to when they are foiled! No one can get over how well the POP!
another plus side to this is your foiled eyeshadow will last ALL DAY!!! Now that to me is wonderful! Don't you hate that creased look?!

Hello to all!
Welcome to the A-FaM's Makeup blog! So, obviously you found this blog because A) you were browsing and found it accidentally (if this is the case, hope to see you back soon!) or B) you typed in the address and meant to be here! (if this is the case, happy you stopped by!) So, I am sure you are wondering...
What does A-FaM stand for?
A-FaM (Pronounced /Ay-Fam think 'Family') stands for Angel-Face Artistry Makeup.
Why was A-FaM started?
A-FaM was started because of all the talk about going green, it made us think... there is so much stuff out there that isn't safe... we began to search for things that were not safe, toxic things and things that we couldn't imagine why they would be in a product if it didn't need to be... and we found them... somewhere we never would want them to be... in our very own makeup... we thought... we put this stuff on our skin EVERYDAY! So, we thought, there has to be a better solution, because yes, we do love my skin, and yes, we want our skin to look beautiful... but we do not want our skin to suffer from all of those chemicals... I guess you could say we wanted our skin to not only LOOK beautiful.. but to actually BE beautiful!
What makes A-FaM Different from other Companies?
Other companies use harsh chemicals, that is why in A-FaM's cosmetic line there are only about 5 ingredients that we use in each product, whereas mass-produced cosmetics are regularly jammed with dozens of ingredients.Why you may ask? Because like perishables (foods), other types of makeup require the use of preservatives to fight the growth of bacteria. And the common filler ingredients in commercial brands of makeup are talc and rice powder, which its tends to clog pores. The fact that A-FaM uses non-toxic, eco friendly ingredients puts us in a higher class of cosmetics.
Another thing to worry about from other companies is that a lot of them have been known to take short cuts when formulating there product line, not using safe or kosher ways to create the product that they need, but here at A-FaM there is no need to worry about that here! WE STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE! NOR DO WE EVER SACRIFICE THE SAFETY OF OUR CLIENTS FOR TIME OR MONEY! Here at A-FaM you can rest assured that what you receive from us is pure, non-toxic, eco friendly products for your body.
Also every order we get (before shipping) 10% will go to a charitable fund, and you get to have your pick of where it will be going to!
